Lindsey Turner

Lindsey Turner, an undergraduate student in the Department of Animal Science, Texas A&M University, received a scholarship grant from the NAMA Scholarship Foundation in the amount of $2,250 at the Annual Convention of the North American Meat Association held March 19-22, 2014 in Palm Springs, Calif. In addition to the scholarship, she received a $500 travel grant from the association to attend the convention where she assisted with several activities as a way to network with key meat industry leaders.

Lindsey also was selected by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as a recipient of the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation Undergraduate Student Travel Grant in the amount of $750.00. The intent of this award is to provide educational opportunities to Texas A&M students in support of travel to conferences, research projects, study, or internships in the United States and abroad. Lindsey was selected because of her exemplary academic record and was given the opportunity for travel in pursuit of your educational objectives. She used this travel grant to help her travel to the NAMA convention.

Lindsey graduated from Florence High School and was a member of the 2013 Meat Judging Team.
