Dr. Kerri Gehring, associate professor of animal science and president of the International HACCP Alliance, has been selected as one of the three recipients of the 2014 Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award for Teaching at the College Level. Dr. Bill Dugus, acting Vice Chancellor for Agriculture and Life Sciences and acting Dean of the College of Agriculture, make the surprise announcement in Dr. Gehring’s class on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. In addition to Dr. Dugas, Marty Holmes from the Association of Former Students and Dr. H. Russell Cross, head of the Department of Animal Science, were part of the group who notified Dr. Gehring of this award. Family and graduate students were present to add to Dr. Gehring’s surprise.
