Mehall, Eastwood present at International Congress of Meat Science and Technology in France

Lindsey Mehall and Clay Eastwood, Ph.D. students in the Department of Animal Science, presented their research work at the 61st International Congress of Meat Science and Technology (ICoMST) in Clermont-Ferrand, France, August 23-28, 2015. Lindsey Mehall receives Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching

Lindsey N. Mehall received a Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching at a ceremony held in the Stark Gallery in the Memorial Student Center at Texas A&M University on Monday, April 28, 2015. Gehring to receive Association of Former Students teaching award

Dr. Kerri Gehring, associate professor of animal science and president of the International HACCP Alliance, has been selected as one of the three recipients of the 2014 Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award for Teaching at the College Level. Lindsey Mehall receives Z.L. Carpenter Outstanding Graduate Student Award

Lindsey Mehall, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Animal Science, received the Z.L. Carpenter Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Meat Science for 2013. Lindsey is from McKinney, Texas, and she received her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Arkansas. This award is presented annually to a graduate student who demonstrates outstanding leadership skills and has contributed significantly to the Meat Science Section’s teaching, research, and extension activities. Beef 101 workshop for June 24-26, 2014 completed

The second Beef 101 of the year was completed on June 24-26, 2014. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Beef 101, and another full crowd was in attendance. Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team competes at Reciprocal Meat Conference in Madison, Wisconsin

The Texas A&M University Quiz Bowl Team competed at the American Meat Science Association Reciprocal Meat Conference at Madison, Wisconsin on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Two four-member teams went deep in the double-elimination tournament before they were eliminated. 25th anniversary of Beef 101 kicks off with May class

The first Beef 101 was held at Texas A&M University in 1989 at the request of the Texas Beef Council to help its staff better understand the product that it was responsible to market. Word spread about the program, and beef council staff from other states requested that another program be held the next year. Lindsey Mehall receives Ronnie L. Edwards Graduate Student Teaching Award

COLLEGE STATION – Lindsey Mehall was one of three graduate students in the Department of Animal Science who were recipients of the 2013 Ronnie L. Edwards Graduate Teaching Award, in recognition of their important contributions as graduate students to the undergraduate student experience.
