Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team competes at Reciprocal Meat Conference in Madison, Wisconsin

The Texas A&M University Quiz Bowl Team competed at the American Meat Science Association Reciprocal Meat Conference at Madison, Wisconsin on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Two four-member teams went deep in the double-elimination tournament before they were eliminated. In true 12th Man tradition, Emily Mahalitc joined the Ohio State University team to help them field a four-member team. Voegele receives AMSA Undergraduate Scholastic Achievement Award

The 2014 Undergraduate Scholastic Achievement Award winners will be recognized during the AMSA 67th RMC Opening General Session Monday, June 16, in Madison. These awards are sponsored by the ADM. Voegele receives NAMA Scholarship Foundation Grant, Bush Presidential Library Undergraduate Travel Grant

Hope Voegele, an undergraduate student in the Department of Animal Science, Texas A&M University, received a scholarship grant from the NAMA Scholarship Foundation in the amount of $2,250 at the Annual Convention of the North American Meat Association held March 19-22, 2014 in Palm Springs, Calif. In addition to the scholarship, she received a $500 travel grant from the association to attend the convention where she assisted with several activities as a way to network with key meat industry leaders.
