Aggies named to All American Meat Judging Team

Three members of the Meat Judging Team, Mallorie Phelps, Jessie Hoffman and James Boyd Vaughan, were named to the 2013 All American Meat Judging Team during the International Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest held Nov. 17 at Tyson Foods in Dakota City, Neb. For the past ten years AMSA has recognized students for their performance in Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contests and their grade point average by selecting them for All American Meat Judging Teams. Texas A&M University Meat Judging Team wins American Royal contest

The Texas A&M University Meat Judging Team won the American Royal Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest held in Omaha, Nebraska on October 20, 2013. The team practiced at the Rosenthal Meat Center, Tyson Beef (Amarillo, TX), Cargill Beef (Schuyler, NE), and the University of Nebraska before competing in the contest.
