Turner receives NAMA Scholarship Foundation Grant, Bush Presidential Library Undergraduate Travel Grant

Lindsey Turner, an undergraduate student in the Department of Animal Science, Texas A&M University, received a scholarship grant from the NAMA Scholarship Foundation in the amount of $2,250 at the Annual Convention of the North American Meat Association held March 19-22, 2014 in Palm Springs, Calif. In addition to the scholarship, she received a $500 travel grant from the association to attend the convention where she assisted with several activities as a way to network with key meat industry leaders. Texas A&M University Meat Judging Team wins American Royal contest

The Texas A&M University Meat Judging Team won the American Royal Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest held in Omaha, Nebraska on October 20, 2013. The team practiced at the Rosenthal Meat Center, Tyson Beef (Amarillo, TX), Cargill Beef (Schuyler, NE), and the University of Nebraska before competing in the contest.
